Meet the Experts Behind the Science

A multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, nutrition specialists, and product innovators dedicated to improving metabolic and hormonal health.

Ali Chappell, PhD, MS, RD

Founder and CEO

I’m Dr. Ali Chappell, a Registered Dietitian with both an MS and a PhD in Nutrition, specializing in Reproductive Endocrinology. After earning my doctorate, I completed a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded postdoctoral research fellowship focused on nutrition, insulin resistance, and PCOS.

Living with PCOS myself is what led me to this work. I’ve dedicated my career to understanding how a Low Insulin Lifestyle can help women better manage their symptoms and feel more in control of their health.

In 2021, I received a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps Program to launch Insara, turning years of research into practical, evidence-based tools for real life.

My goal has always been simple: to make this science easier to understand and actually useful for the women who need it most.

Johnny Chappell

Co-Founder and COO

I’m Johnny Chappell, and I hold a BS in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University. After a decade in the industrial sector, my passion for that field waned as my desire to support my wife’s research grew.

Having witnessed Ali’s struggles with PCOS, I’m thrilled to embark on this journey of launching a company that offers answers and support to those in need. I personally experienced the benefits of a Low Insulin Lifestyle by losing 35 pounds and keeping it off for 10 years and counting, proving that it works for men too!

Although Women’s Health isn’t my background, I feel fortunate to be part of growing the vision of Insara Health, knowing it has the potential to positively impact countless lives. Together, we’re dedicated to making a difference.
